Let's call this the Initial Public Offering of Ham Candy Enterprises

First post! I'm going to think of this blog as one half of a symbiotic relationship responsible for producing both discipline in my outside-of-work coding habits and rigor in my lukewarm desire to document the things I like. The idea being that writing about projects I'm actively working on will make me want to actively work on those projects. I'd like to think of it as a kind of positive catch-22. The two big code projects I'm interested right now are a flash card based language learning app that is coming along nicely (http://flashfrequently.appspot.com/) and a real-time ray tracer that hasn't made it past the planning stages so far. I'll probably also end up writing about photography, the outdoors, music, and maybe even my cat since those are all things that I like. We'll see how it goes.
